Taiwan college uses ARES uPKI for information security efficiency

Ares International Corp. recently helped National Taichung Institute of Technology (NTIT) to integrate internal electronic signature system with uPKI mechanism developed by Ares International Corp to strengthen the safety of its overall information system.

For a real paperless environment and information flow safety, NTIT adopts ARES uPKI mechanism for electronic official document signature while using ARES uIAM (ubiquitous Identity and Access Management) for the single sign-on function to allow users to quickly finish log-in operation and launch centralized management, NTIT says, adding that users only need to key in account and password to access to portal and various application system menus since uPKI can integrate directory management.

ARES uPKI integrates account and password verification with Windows AD as its development basis. The system can ensure information safety while remaining convenient for use. Additionally, all application system can be verified with ARES uIAM, as it meets the information security standard of the C2-level defined by Trusted Computer System Evaluation Criteria (TCSEC), a United States Government Department of Defense (DoD) standard. The unique individual validation and authorization mechanism can ensure the confidentiality of each application.

ARES uPKI and uIAM can comply with various operating platforms such as Windows, Linux, Solaris, Unix and AIX for programming languages such as ASP, JSP, Java, Visual Studio, ,Net, PHP, PowerBuilder that supports Web-based or client-server structured application systems. As such, security verification can be unified, no information security loophole will occur while search for various log records in different conditions can be done, facilitating tracking and control for the administrator.
