Ares shares PKI best practices at APEC TEL PKI/e-Authentication Training Program

Ares International Corp. was recently invited to offer educational trainings for various government officials from overseas at the “APEC TEL PKI/e-Authentication Training Program” hosted by the PKI Promotion Program Office, Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).

During the five-day event, James Wu, assistant vice president of Ares, delivered a speech about “e-government PKI application”. In the speech, Wu introduced in detail the complete product line of the self-developed Ares PKI products while presented the successful practices of validation authority (VA), ARES uPKI ACB (Access Control Box), ARES uIAM (ubiquitous Identity and Access Management) System, Register Authority (RA), One Time Password (OTP) at the Legislative Yuan, Research Development and Evaluation Commission (RDEC), Taipei City Government (TCG), Department of Health (DOH), Ministry of National Defense (MND), Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) and the Administration of Science Parks as well as at enterprises, banks and educational institutions.

Carlos Barrera, executive director of eBclosion, the Guatemalan distributor of Ares uPKI products, also delivered a speech about the successful practice of Ares uPKI products in Guatemala.

Ares not only showcased its application results of ARES uPKI & uIAM for e-Taiwan, but also had keen interactions with 22 representatives from the APEC TEL members as well as South East Asia, Europe and the Americas. Specifically, the Vietnam government, which is highly interested in establishing its own PKI infrastructure, also sent representatives to join the event.

The “APEC TEL PKI/e-Authentication Training Program” ended after the enthusiastic discussions of the participants and Ares also benefited significantly from the event for its export opportunities.
