In 2002, BPM platform was released, bringing a new age to system integration

IT integration is facing a myriad of ongoing challenges because the need of an enterprise is constantly in the change. Any organization change will bring uneasiness to the IT staff; they are always confused and bothered by many reviews and communications. Meanwhile, decision makers always cannot understand the purpose of system integration and efficiency improvement brought by data integration.

According to the rule of BPMI – BPMN, as a new generation platform, BPM has to provide a diagram interface for all those responsible for executing tasks during the whole process, with the personnel including technical staff, sales representatives and project team members. The interface will help the task performers in understanding details of forms, activities and related logics of the process. Additionally, it is better to have the process transformed in the form of enforceable application programs. Therefore, four BPM features: actors, activities, events and states are the key to the BPM platform.

• Different from general thinking in regarding processing forms as the core of workflow, the design of AgilePoint can separate form, process and data in the workflow. This design can help people to receive needed form or data easier in their workflow.

Version Control Record and Activity Orders

• With a powerful process engine, AgilePoint can update and save process designs. The version control function can help to update to new forms for the new process while existing process can keep adopting existing forms.

Internal Process Flow Connection or External System Integration According to Scale

• Considering the timing of implementation and user-friendliness in an enterprise, AgilePoint adopts Microsoft products such as Visio, InfoPath, SharePoint and Outlook to be its developing base. This will help an enterprise to realize the benefit of BPM while IT staff can easily develop process components by themselves.
