Ares offers ARES uPKI lectures for universities

Ares recently hosted a series of PKI lecture for universities, offering ARES uPKI educational trainings and promoting PKI in academic research and applications.

The lectures are to prepare participants for joining the Taiwan College PKI Application Competition held by Taiwan's Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), Department of Commerce, Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and the Chinese Society of Information Management (CSIM).

The trainings include: PKI basic knowledge, ARES uPKI component and ARES uPKI application examples. Detailed lecture content include the disadvantages of traditional account/password verification, parallel/non-parallel keys, certificate, authorization center, CA/RA, CRL, digital signature and digital envelope. Everyday application examples were also employed to explain how application systems can integrate with PKI.

The number of participants for the lectures is exceptionally large—not only students that will participate in the Taiwan College PKI Application Competition joined the lectures, but responsible professors discussed keenly with Ares PKI training instructors. The trainees have adequate knowledge about the concepts of non-parallel key and en/decryption algorithm, the instructors indicated.

With efforts in promoting PKI application education in universities recognized, Ares now sees more than a dozen Taiwanese universities adopting its ARES uPKI components for PKI applications.
