Ares holds E-Official seminars for government service workers

Ares International Corp. held island-wide seminars for government service workers during August, 2009 as the agent for the Research, Development and Evaluation Commission (RDEC) of Taiwan's Executive Yuan.

The island-wide seminars, held in northern, central, southern and eastern Taiwan regions, are to familiarize government service workers with related services, service implementation of institutions, message connection of the "Government E-Official" project. A total of nearly 600 government service workers participated in the seminars, offering implementation opinions for both the "E-Official" service system and institution official-affair messages.

RDEC assigned Ares to plan and implement the "Government E-Official" service starting from 2008, with related services including integration of official-affair messages, active alerts and an exchangeable interactive platform basing on the Web 2.0 concept for government service workers. The new service can solve issues currently faced by government service workers including official document deadline alert, key project approval status, re-organization status, official-affair education and welfare regulations, official knowledge sharing and experience exchanges.

With resource sharing, service orientation and active alert, the "Government E-Official" service system helps integrating official-affair messages, with services as follows:

• Message subscription: Integrating official-affair messages, offering subscription service for active alerts
• Message wizard: Connecting account identification, actively delivering subscribed messages and personalized information
• Institution list: Offering horizontal contact information for government institutions and individual position
• Forum exchange: Offering official-affair knowledge and experience sharing

Additionally, government service workers can obtain key messages and personal education/welfare messages via the E-Official wizard or PDA accessible through the E-Official portal (http://g2e.nat.gov.tw).

Currently, government institutions using the "Government E-Official" service system include RDEC, the Central Office of the Department of Land Administration under the Ministry of Interior (MOI), Civil Service Housing and Welfare Committee and Taoyuan Country Government. Accessible messages include nation-wide e-bulletin board and official-affair welfare messages.
