Ares introduces Oracle ERP for Taiwan IC design house UTC

Ares International Corp. has signed contract with Unisonic Technologies Company Limited (UTC), a major Taiwan-based supplier of high-tech semiconductor devices and IC design, for introducing Oracle ERP for the IC designer. The system is expected to go live next April.

To complement its existing ERP system, UTC expects to introduce Oracle ERP modules such as finance, manufacturing, distribution, Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) and Oracle Shop Floor Management (OSFM) with assistance from Ares. Ares will help UTC to integrate related processes in Taiwan and China, so each of UTC's related business units can immediately collect information and control various management reports.

With Oracle ERP, UTC can strengthen its material functions and lower inventory backlog, making group control much easier. Meanwhile, UTC can quicken its financial closing and cost calculation speed. Since all branches in China are included in the ERP project, related information will become much more accessible for UTC to plan on future production capacity schedules or material demand integration.

After the system goes live, the e-platform constructed by Ares for UTC will integrate internal and external system information. With Oracle ERP, UTC can rebuild its enterprise process, optimize efficiency and improve capital agility.

UTC mainly provides power management, and audio power amplifier IC, supplemented with motor controller, OP, and TR. These components are primarily used in the market of PC, telecom, and consumer products in Asia via direct branches in South Korea, Thailand, and India.
