Ares assists cross Taiwan Strait companies to convert to electronic customs operations

Ares International Corp. has successfully assisted nearly 40 companies in Taiwan and China to strengthen their China customs Goods in Bond (GIB) procedure and upgrade to the electronic version.

In 2009, China customs stopped approving paper-form manuals for its customs and plans to convert to the electronic version in 2010.

The localized GIB system from Ares can fully support electronic manuals and accounting records, as well as operations for various customs regions and special regions (tax-free and export processing zones). Ares GIB system not only provides complete data, process and record-tracking, but also allows regular comparison with and writing-off of internal data and timely system alerts. Ares is also constantly improving its GIB system functions according to related customs regulations.

With the seamless connection between Ares GIB system, enterprise ERP system and customs monitoring system, a complete management tracing basis can be established, connecting customs data and actual order, invoice, job sheet and inventory flow record. The active alert functions of the system can help prevent and correct process errors while the user can customize report columns and add new reports.

Currently, Ares GIB system has best practices in major customs in China such as Suzhou, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Shenzhen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Nanjing and Guangzhou.
